As my life unfolds in ways that I would never have expected, I've turned to writing and photos to free myself of the tangled web of emotions that threatens to take me down. By opening the door to my life, I hope to show the impact that rare disease has on millions of families like mine as they struggle to care for, to fight for and too often to live without their children.
